Small ropes are being used to stuff the openings between the planks to prevent leakages. Mr. Wang is reorganizing the rope before being fitted into the openings.
He uses some dark home-made glue to hold the ropes.
The final step of the process was to stuff the opening with the rope by using a hammer and chisel before he moves to another part of the boat and repeat the same process.
